Why is my Slowpoke and Eevee incompatible?

I was practicing egg moves by trying to get a curse egg move Eevee by breeding a slowpoke with ditto.

Then I got the Lv. 1 Male Slowpoke breed with a Lv. 19 Female Eevee.

I walked outside but the daycare man said they are incompatible. Why are they not breeding?

Eevee is in the field egg group whilst Slowpoke is in the Monster and Water(1) egg group. For Eevee to learn curse, it would need to breed with a Pokemon capable of passing it down in the field egg group.

Pokemon you’ll be wanting to breed for Curse:

They are not in the same Egg Group.Eevee is in Ground and Slowpoke is in Water 1.

To get Curse on Eevee you need to breed her with a Smeargle, Bidoof or Bibarel that has it.
