Why did Galvantula not get slowed down against Sticky Web?

Gen 8 Random in Pokemon Showdown. This time against this trainer, he set up Sticky Web then switched into Galvantula but it did not get slowed down when I expected it to. Why did that happen?Here’s the replay -https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8randombattle-1469775610

It was mostly likely holding the Heavy-Duty Boots

A lot Pokémon hold this item in competitive battles to avoid getting crippled by hazards (especially Stealth Rock). In this case Galvantula was holding the boots to avoid losing 1/4 of its health thanks to the battle staple pointed stones, so it wasn’t slowed down by your Sticky Web.
