Why can't I find any Shiny Pokemon with the Cute Charm glitch using Jigglypuff?

So a few days ago I started learning how RNG works and I got the cute charm glitch working on platinum following I’m a blisy’s guide. I wanted to do it on Soul Silver too: I got the right SID/TID combo (always following this guy’s guides) and I also got a shiny totodile but I can’t find any shiny Pokemons with a jigglypuff as the first Pokemon in my team. Anyone knows why?

Here’s some suggestions to double-check:

It’s possible your Jigglypuff doesn’t have Cute Charm, or it’s the wrong gender, since the Cute Charm glitch has to do with gender, too.

Also note, there’s different percentages of shiny chance depending on the TID/SID number, so it’s possible you picked a really low-chance ID, or you’re just getting unlucky.

It’s worthwhile to note that the Cute Charm glitch doesn’t actually work with gift Pokémon; only random encounters
