Why can I name a Pokemon "Fck"?

Tried to name a Finneon “Fck” in S/M, and it worked. According to Bulbapedia, “Fck” is a censored word. So why was I able to name my Finneon this?

Yup DA380 is correct sometimes info on bulbapedia is outdated. I’m pretty sure you checked the list of banned names in gen 6 since gen7 list is not available yet. Another notable thing is that that “fck” is a banned name in gen 6 but not in gen5 so it is very much possible that gamefreak might have removed the censorship on this name in gen7. Hope I answered your question to some extent. :)))

Some words are only banned in certain parts of the world, so while fck might be censored in one part of the world, it might not be censored where you are.
