Why are gender less Pokemon included in compatible parents for egg moves, example Onix?
Apr. 3, 2018I am trying to improve my Onix and when I look at the egg move data, it lists as compatible a lot of genderless Pokemon. As far as I know, there is no way for these groups to interact at all? Please explain if I misunderstand. Thanks!

It is an error on wherever you looked it up, as proven by:
Two Pokémon are compatible if they are of the same species (or share at least one Egg Group) and are of opposite genders; alternatively, breeding is usually still possible as long as one of them is Ditto, even if the other parent is genderless, and in fact, genderless Pokémon can breed only with Ditto.
Onix can’t breed with gender-less Pokemon (except ditto, but ditto has no egg moves for any Pokemon).Source
As long as it is not in the Undiscovered Egg-Group it can breed. Genderless Pokemon can only breed with Ditto.
