Which move should I teach Charizard on Pokemon Red?
Mar. 30, 2016I need to know if I should teach my Charizard Fire Blast, or Flamethrower. Fire Blast is more powerful but has lower accuracy and Flamethrower has lower power but higher accuracy which is making it tough to decide.

It depends on your setup. For in game purposes, Flamethrower > Fire Blast because of the higher PP and accuracy. However it can be nullified by PP restoring items. Fire Blast is better in scenarios where damage is key and is needed above accuracy, for example in battles.
Too lazy; Didn’t read: Flamethrower is good in long battles, like the Elite Four or Gym Leader matches. Fire Blast is better in link battles and battles that will be short if you can sweep.

Flamethrower. That way you can save PP.
Accuracy over power for me.Even then Charizard is pretty bad in kanto, heck in Red and Blue it doesn’t even get Fly or any Flying STAB in general.
