Whats the chance of getting random gifts from trainers? (OR/AS)?

I know you can get random gifts from trainers in ORAS like the dusk stone in Mt. Pyre, but speaking of that, I battled the Hex Maniac like 30 times (Im not even kidding) and I still haven’t gotten a dusk stone. Is there something I need to do extra, or am I just super unlucky? Everyone else is saying they only needed to battle her like 3 or 4 times before getting the Dusk Stone, but I still haven’t got it!

Do I need to do something, and also, what are the chances of getting the gift?

You don’t have to do anything extra, it’s just random chance, the actual drop rate is 5% i.e. 1 in 20.

So it seems like you have just been getting unlucky.

You should try Super Training though. Once you’ve gotten 1 Pokemon with full EVs you can move onto Secret Super Training, if you battle the Aegislash Balloon and complete it quick enough, the chances are 20% i.e. 1 in 5.
