What's the best strategy to catch Groudon in Emerald?
Dec. 13, 2022I’m about to shiny Groudon in Emerald, but since it has a low capture rate, low PP moves, and has Rest to heal damage, what are some good strategies and Pokemon I should use to catch Groudon?
Note: I already used my Master Ball.

I recommend using screech so you can lower its HP faster after it uses rest. Also keep it asleep as often as possible so it uses less PP. Use rain dance or drizzle to weaken its fire blast and solar beam. Because you’re shiny hunting, I think it’s worth your time to get a fast Breloom with false swipe and spore. Make sure you stock up on X items, healing items, revives, Leppa berries, and timer balls before looking for Groudon.
