Is the oval charm useful in any way? I was noticing that it seems useful.

Yes, the Oval Charm is useful. It increases the chance of Pokemon producing Eggs in the Day Care, so it is useful to breeders who want to get Eggs quickly.

The Oval Charm is a Key Item that increases the chances of getting an egg in the day care, when two compatible are in the daycare. You can find one when in Black 2 and White 2 when youcatchall Pokemon in the Unova Dex, andtalk to Professor Juniper in Nuvema Town.In X and Y, you can find one when youseeall Pokemon in the Kalos Pokedex, when youtalk to Professor Sycamore in Lumiose City.
