What's a good defensive EV spread for a Hazard Switcher Skarmory?
May. 27, 2016I’m working on parts for a team(s), and one of them is a Hazard Switch Skarmory.
Obviously, it needs little, if any, help on Defense, and has no use whatsoever for Special Attack, so I’m using a Careful nature. I’m assuming I should put the full 252 into HP, but I’m not really sure. I’ve put together a Sub-Seeder Venosaur before, and I remember I approximately evened out it’s Defense and Special Defense, but how I figured out how many EVs to put where is escaping me.

I definitely recommend a 252 HP and Def set. I’d also recommend you try getting an Impish Nature. It boosts the useless Special Attack stat but raises the all important Defense. Skarmory has such low Special Defense that even Scalds and Ice Beams will slay this mighty bird. I actually use your exact set, but with Impish. It works a charm.
