What should I EV train my Charizard in?
Feb. 12, 2018Hello, I’m fairly new to EV training, and I’m curious about what types of EV training I should train my Charizard.
Its ability is Blaze, and its nature is rash.

Your Charizard knows mostly special attacks, so you should give it maximum special attack EVs. It won’t take many hits no matter how defensive it is, so you’re better off maximizing its speed and getting it to move first more often. Give it 4 Atk/252 SpA/252 Spe.
Depends. You shouldn’t have both special attacking moves as well as physical attacking moves. Both megas of charizard specialize in different things. Mega Charizard X can be either, whereas Mega Charizard Y can be either. If you can’t have megas, regular Charizard is better as a special attacker.So, for an attacker (Mega X) , give it 252 ATK / 252 SPE / 4 HP .For a special attacker (Mega X or Mega Y or regular) , give it 252 SPA / 252 SPE / 4 HP .
