What should I do after I'm in Kanto?

Hey, I finally beat lance with-Typhlosion lv40 (Rock Tomb, Shadow Claw, Solarbeam, Flamethrower)-Quagsire lv40 (Strength, Blizard, Waterfall, Earthquake)-Jumpluff lv40 (Headbutt, Aerial Ace, Silver Wind, Mega Drain)-Ampharos lv40 (Strength, Iron Tail, Charce Beam, Thunderbolt-Noctowl lv40 (Confusion, Air Slash, Shadow Ball, Uproar) and-Shucke lv29 (for healing… Encore, Safeguard, Rock smash, Strength)i use “Ampharos Static Strategy”! it base upon luck to paralyzed Dragonite, but I get lucky that day. now, I’m stuck in kanto! what should I do in vermilion city? and when I get the kanto starter?

So many things…You can beat all the gym leaders of Kanto, starting with Lt.Surge right in Vermilion.And you can only get the Kanto Starter from Prof. Oak after getting 16 badges and beating Red (Ash Ketchum of the video games, but better).
