What happens after encountering 2 simultaneous shinies with Cheryl in D/P/Pt?

I understand a crash occurs when this happens, and it’s very unlikely, but does it brick the game? corrupt your save? I’d love to hunt a budew here, and i’m alright if it crashes, but if my save corrupts i’ll lose the shiny chimchar I just got days ago and i’ll be crushed.

Encountering two shiny Pokemon simultaneously will cause the game to softlock. This means no buttons will work; you will have to fully restart your system to bring it back to a playable state. Softlocks, while annoying, don’t corrupt game files.

The chances of this happening are roughly 1 in 67 million, so this isn’t even worth worrying about.
