Tips on catching Heatran in Capture Arena in Shadows of Almia?

Well, I did a google search and everyone seems to suggest a Dark Pokemon Assist to rid you of the Lava Pools. Water and Ground PokeAssists work too, and make sure to charge your styler. Honestly, the only real way to befriend him is to try. :) Just watch his attacks, get used to the pattern.i
Have a Dark Type or Water Type assist Pokemon. Water is obviously to I guess say expose a weakness. Dark Types are gonna be useful when Heatran decides to use the lava pools as the Dark Type assist clears them off by just doing a circle around them, and afterwards just start catching. Gastrodons and Pelippers can be found before fighting Heatran. The only Dark Pokemon I know of you can get is a Sneasel, which is a partner Pokemon. Thats all I got.
