Is there any lore/story behind the appearance of Spring Path and Sendoff Spring?

Was it caused by an explosion, some funny astral powers or something else? Just curious since I’ve just got outta' there earlier today. Would be interesting if there is/are any. Try to refrain from theories, but they are okay I guess. If there really aren’t any, please do kindly tell me and I might hide away this question :]

is an area east of Route 214, accessible via the Spring Path. It is known as the “fourth lake of Sinnoh that was kept secret”, and is said by some to be where the deceased go to journey to the world beyond. On the shore of the lake in the center of the area is the entrance to Turnback Cave, where the barrier between the Pokémon world and the Distortion World is weaker

Apparently the spring has always been there but nobody ever knew about it aside from Cynthia who probably read it in the Sinnoh legends
