In SwSh is the shiny egg still predetermined when you deposit the parents like in USUM?

(I’m not 100% sure if that’s how it worked in Alola, just assumed based on the little I know about the Magikarp exploit)

I’m at over 1200 eggs using the MM, which is a record for me. I don’t have the shiny charm so this number isn’t too bad. But multiple times I’ve accidentally withdrew one of the parents from the daycare (on auto pilot/multi tasking.. my bad) I heard about the Magikarp exploit and it’s making me paranoid. What if I messed up by accidentally withdrawing Ditto?

This hunt in wearing me down. I only got one badge so far on this file and want to continue story already!
