If you trade a Pokemon and trade it back, will it listen to you?

In HG, I have a gastly. When it evolves to Haunter, I need to trade to my little brother to evolve, but I want my Gengar. So will it listen to me (cause my Alakasam lost me the first gym when my brother gave me an abra he trained up)?

For a Pokémon to obey you with a different OT, it depends on what level the traded Pokémon is and the number of gym badges you have received so far.

Gym 1 Flying-type - Zephyr Badge - Traded Pokémon up to Level 20 will obey.Gym 2 Bug-type - Hive Badge - Traded Pokémon up to Level 30 will obey.Gym 4 Ghost-type - Fog Badge - Traded Pokémon up to Level 50 will obey.Gym 6 - Steel-type - Mineral Badge - Traded Pokémon up to Level 70 will obey.Gym 8 Dragon-type - Rising Badge - Traded Pokémon up to Level 100 will obey.

Yes it will listen. As long as you’re still the OT(Original Trainer), then it will listen and obey you.
