How to get Latios from alpha ruby to Y?

I’ve only got one 3Ds and I haven’t seen Latios in my Pokemon Y, I’m fairly new to these games but I have Latios in my alpha ruby and I want to get it to my Pokemon Y, can I somehow do this with the GTS?

YesIn Pokémon Y, you have to first deposit any Pokemon on the GTS. (Preferably a weak or common Pokemon that no one else would want) Let’s pretend Pidgey. Then choose Latios as the Pokemon wanted. Mention the Latios' level if you can. After you have deposited the Pokemon, switch to Pokémon Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby game. On that GTS, go to “seek Pokemon'', and choose “Pidgey” or whatever Pokemon you deposited. You will find that your character in Pokémon Y offered a Pidgey in exchange for Latios. Click him, choose your latios, and BAM! You should have a Latios in Pokémon Y.
