How old are the Sword and Shield protagonists?

I’d say probably around 13-14. 10-11 seems too young to participate in a nationwide sporting event. They’re also considerably tall, and I highly doubt any 10-11 year old is that tall. For reference, the player character stands several inches shorter than most adult males in the game. Raihan’s a 6'7" monster of a man and the player character still reaches about just below chest height on him.
I think 10 or 11, as in the Pokemon games, you are 10 when you begin your journey as a Pokemon trainer, so I don’t see why Pokemon Sword and Shield would be different. However, the characters do look a little older than 10, and not much information has been posted about their ages, so it really does come down to your opinion.
