How is it possible for claydol to use dig?

CLAYDOL is an enigma that appeared from a clay statue made by an ancient civilization dating back 20,000 years.This POKéMON shoots beams from both its hands.
It is not known for sure how Claydol Digs but it would not be far fetched to say that it uses the beams it shoot out of its hands to make holes, which it then levitates into, then repeating the process to go back up.
Combine the spinning ofwith the size and aerodynamic of this beastand you get a mean, lean drilling machine! But seriously, why shouldn’t it be able to learn it? It is Ground type and is almost drill shaped.
