How does the ability "Flower Gift" work?

“During harsh sunlight, Flower Gift increases the Attack and Special Defense stats of the Pokémon with this Ability and its allies by 1.5×"What I don’t understand is how will it work for allies or is this only limited to 2 vs 2?I’m assuming it in order to activate it, Cherrim needs to be called out along with the presence of harsh sunlight but will this ability benefit the next Pokemon if Cherrim is called back assuming she’s still active in the background and harsh sunlight is still present?

Cherrim needs to be on the field for the ability to work. So it will only affect your allies in a battle where you can have more than one Pokemon out at the same time, otherwise it will only affect cherrim.
