how do i breed defog onto scizor

it says the only compatible pokemon is scizor itself.I’m confused? can someone explain.

Well, Defog in an HM in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum but not in HeartGold/SoulSilver, so teach Scyther/Scizor Defog in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, trade it to HeartGold/SoulSilver, then migrate it over to your White. To breed, teach a Butterfree, Beedrill, Venomoth, Scyther, Gligar, Scizor, Beautifly, Yanma, Dustox, Maquerain, Ninjask, Mothim, or Yanmega Defog in Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, trade it to HeartGold/SoulSilver, and then migrate. Then breed. Remember, your ScizorMUSTbe female for this to work.

Teach Defog to a Mothim(Always Male) and put it in the daycare with a female Scyther/Scizor to get an Scyther that knows defog..Scizor can breed withthese pokemon.

EDIT:In 4th gen, Scyther can learn defog
