How did my friend get a Pikachu with Surf?
Feb. 23, 2018Today, my friend and I were playing UM and US together. Suddenly, I saw that she is using Pikachu in a battle against a Mudsdale. I was wondering why she was using a bad Pokemon like Pikachu. Then, she used Surf!

He will have mastered each island’s Mantine Surf challenge, and then gone to Heahea City and collected his prize in the game freak offices - the Pikachu is a prize in USUM
Chances are, she/he probably had a event Pikachu from another game and then transferred it. Or as J. Fuseon (Amalgeon) said,
You can get surfing Pikachu at HeaHea City’s surf shop once you master each island’s Mantine Surf challenge.
