How did a Talonflame outspeed my +1 speed Dragapult?

I was genuinely shocked. They didn’t have quick claw or any item that forces them to go first. My Dragapult has a speed of 383, Adamant nature. Doesn’t dragon dance have a multiplier by 2? Even if they had choice scarf on their talon flame it won’t be nearly enough. Is this possible? Help

The Talonflame could have had the AbilityGale Wings, which gives priority to Flying moves when it’s at full HP.

However, it’s also possible that the Talonflame had a Speed-boosting nature and a Choice Scarf. 252 Speed, +Spe Nature, and a Choice Scarf puts Talonflame at579 Speed. As Dragon Dance boosts Speed by one stage (1.5x), your 383 Speed Dragapult would’ve had574 Speedafter one boost.

I suppose Talonflame is deceptively fast.
