How come I keep getting the same couple Pokemon in Max Raid Battles?

So I just recently got Pokemon sword, (been debating on buy it for a year and finally did).

I beat the game and have been going around doing max raid battles however online I see all sorts of Pokemon like, Ditto, Charizard, Lampras and Mimikyu. However I always get the same Pokemon?

It’s always an onix or steelix or nickit, Dottler, Xatu, Manatee. Is there something I am missing? How do I get new Pokemon or just a different variety.

I clear out all the raids in every area and they reset but its just all the same Pokemon over and over. I frequently check the wild area news almost 3 times a day.

Any information on what is happening is much appreciated!
