Has Pokémon ever had DLC?

I don’t mean events, I mean actual DLC that adds new content to the game. I’m asking this because I a lot of people are speculating that ORAS will have a Battle Frontier DLC. They’re wrong, of course, because I think all focus has been out on the next games, but was there ever any grounds to their theories?

No. There has never been DLC for the mainstream Pokemon games. The closest was the events in diamond and pearl. Then again that kinda was dlc because it unlocked different areas. But actual dlc like what you mean has never been released, and I don’t know when or if it will happen.

Just to make clear, the nearest thing Pokemon has had to a DLC has been Pokémon Dream Radar. There have been no actual DLCs before).
