Getting Started in the Meta?

Hey there guys,

I’ve been playing the pokemon games for a long time starting at about the release of Yellow. As of last gen I noticed people talking about the metagame and learning about it. My question is this, having beat pokemon white already is it too late to start building a meta team? A better way to ask is since i’ve beaten the game have i eliminated the chances of being able to play in the meta and should I restart the game? It wouldn’t be that much of a problem except I grew really attached to my Zoroark. Anyone care to help?

Do you mean competitive battling its never too late to make a team for that. Just EV train your pokemon and form teams. But most people just use pokemon online for their competitive battling.
