Energy Ball - Smeargle's Sketch?

If I have a male Smeargle use Sketch and learn Energy Ball, can I then breed with a female Vulpix to have it pass it down? I usually just use Ditto for breeding, aha :')

Due to this, it can legitimately have any move in the Pokémon games except for Chatter, and it can pass on any Egg move to Pokémon in the Field Egg Group.

So, it could, however Vulpix cannot learn Energy Ball as an egg move. So, really, it can’t happen. But it could work if it did know Energy Ball as an egg move.

It only learns Energy Ball as a TM in Generation V. Sorry.

That looks like it would work, but not in 5th Gen at least. Energy ball is not listed as an egg move for 5th Gen, but I think it would work for other generations. I’m not sure about Gen 6.
