Does the Macho Bracer only lower speed while battling?
Jun. 17, 2013I wanted to know as I want to EV train my oshawott but I wasn’t sure if the macho bracer slowed you down only in battle or it decreases the speed stat. Please suggest EV spread too.

The Macho Brace will only lower speed while battling. It does not affect the EV gain of the speed.
Heres a full set just cause I don’t want to say EVs without moves and stuff.

My favorite set for Samurott. Hydro Pump is a good, strong STAB. Hidden Power Grass is coverage. Ice beam is more coverage specifically against Grass Types. With the Attack EVs, Superpower packs a punch and the Attack drop doesn’t matter too much because it is a specially based set.

Yes, the Macho Brace only lowers your Pokemon’s speed whilst battling, it doesn’t slow the experiece you gain in the speed stat, once you take it off the Pokémon the speed will go back to normal.
