Does Perish Song work on the Totem Pokémon?

So I’ve been playing through Ultra Sun and have been going through the Totem Pokémon. The synergy of the Pokémon and its ally is always annoying, so I was wondering if Perish Song effects these Totem Pokémon for an easier way to win. If so, what would be a good Pokémon to use as a Perish Song user?

None of them use Taunt or anything. You can use Perish Song, switch out and stall for a few turns, and beat all of them with zero effort.

Yes, it works. However, Perish Song is usually learned at high levels by late game Pokemon, so you have to go out of your way to make use of it for the majority of the game.

Your best options are:

Probably your best option is to trade a Misdreavus or Smoochum caught early game, trade it to a different copy of SMUSUM that has access to the Move Reminder, and then trade it back.
