Does Fake out stop moves that increase in power?
Mar. 15, 2014I haven’t seen this question already so I’m asking it.
Example: Say I used Fury cutter on my Scyther 2x already, if a Pokemon comes in and uses Fake out on me and I flinch does Fury cutter reset to its base power or does it continue stacking?(Same could be asked for Rollout and such)
If you could also provide me a source to back it up, that would be awesome.

Yes, it will. If you use move that increase in succession the move will be “cut off” so you have to start over again. If your Pokemon has inner focus and fury cutter/rollout, and fake out has been used on you, you can still get going. Also, protect, detect, and mat block can stop you. With endure you won’t “lose your power” because you can still attack it.Hope this helps!Source: experience and knowledge
