Does Crystal automatically save after you choose your starter?

Does Pokemon Crystal save after you choose your starter? Please help me I’m new to the game. Can you put your answer down in the comments because I need help in Pokemon Crystal. Can you guys help me I’m trying to get a shiny starter in Pokemon Crystal.

Knowing Pokémon, probably not. Pokémon almost never autosave, and when they do, they let you know. I have heard of other people shiny hunting these starters.

Even if they did autosave, you could just start a new game (reset your data). Don’t worry, and just relax.

No it doesn’t!

All the old Pokemon games, especially the older ones like Crystal, have no sense of auto-save, so you have to do it manually in settings.

If you save your game in front of the starter, you can reset and it’ll let you pick again.
