Did focus blasts accuracy get buffed for less damage in gen 9?
Sep. 7, 2024I’m not crazy right? I could’ve sworn focus blast was 30% accuracy with 150 base power at least in gen 8. But I’m looking all over and I can’t find anything. Please, I need to know.

Focus Blast does damage and has a 10% chance of lowering the target’s Special Defense by one stage. It does not affect Pokémon with Bulletproof.

Focus Blast has always had 120 BP and 70% accuracy since it’s introduction in Gen IV.
You may be getting Focus Blast confused withOHKO moves, which are the only damage-dealing moves which have 30% accuracy like you mentioned. Despite many people’s jokes about Focus Blast almost certainly always missing, it actually has 70% accuracy.
