Defiant + Curse Farfetch'd combo?

So far I have only found one Pokemon with the chance to pull this off but I was wondering ifFarfech’d used Curse on itself and had the hidden ability Defiant. wouldn’t curse drop his Speed by one stage and give + 1 to Attack and Defense, then would Defiant trigger and give an additional + 2 Attack for a total +3 Attack, +1 Defense, and -1 Speed?

I’m asking because I didn’t know if Defiant would trigger, I know it wont trigger when using moves like close combat, or superpower

This does not include self-induced stat drops like those from Close Combat. Defiant will not activate if the user’s stat is lowered by an ally in Double and Triple Battles.

So no, it won’t work.
