Can the fire and grass type starter swim in the water in Super Mystery Dungeon?

I was watching a play through where the player had a water type and was swimming through water so I was wondering if you have a fire or grass type can you still swim through the water.

Nope, just water types. [insert more info here]Fire types can however walk through lava if I remember correctly.

All throughout the Mystery Dungeon series,Water Typeshave been able to walk in water. As well as this,Fire Typescan walk through lava, andGhost Typescan go through walls.Flying Typescan fly over water, lava, and gaps, but not walls.

This makes for an interesting dynamic. You need to worry about enemies who are more suited to the terrain approaching from lava, water, walls, or empty space.
