Can OHKO moves hit a higher level Pokémon if I use Mind Reader?

I know ohko moves normally fail if the user is a lower level than the target but what if I use a move like Mind Reader or Lock-On beforehand? Will that guarantee a hit or will it still auto fail because I’m a lower level?

Source.No, the OHKO move will still fail. Accuracy wouldn’t matter here since the game doesn’t consider it if you’re under leveled. Attacking a higher level causes move failure, not reduction in accuracy. You will automatically fail.
