Can I transfer Pokemon off of Pokemon Sun to the Pokebank, then start a new game and use it with Pokebank as well?

I just bought a used copy of Pokemon Sun and the original save has a lot of progress and some great Pokemon I wouldn’t want to go to waste. I’m a longtime player but I have never used Pokemon Bank, can I transfer those Pokemon into the bank then start a new file and continue to send Pokemon from the new file (but same cartridge) into the bank as well? Thanks and sorry if someone has addressed this already, I couldn’t find the thread if it exists. From what I could gather online the answer seems like a yes, but if someone who has Pokebank can confirm I would appreciate it.

Yeah. This question has already been asked. Anyways, poke bank is one of the best ways to transfer Pokémon from game to game by yourself. (With 1 DS Console) . Yes, if the Pokémon aren’t hacked they will go into the poke bank first. I belive the poke bank is a must have for any Pokémon players with gen 6 and 7 games.
