Benefits to giving man Pokemon in X and Y **SPOILERS?**?
Dec. 31, 2013I am talking about the man in Anistar city who requests you give him a Level 5 and under Pokemon. Are there any benefits to giving him the Pokemon he requests or is it just out of the kindness of my heart?

You get a Comet Shard from him later on. You need to wait for a few days and then go back to collect your Pokemon.
SPOILER: You also get a letter that messes with your heart.

He’ll give you a comet shard after a few days you give him your Pokemon as a thank you.This will not affect your Pokemon in any way. (wont lv up or anything). He’ll just hold on onto your Pokemon.
SPOILER ALERT
After a few days, he wont give you the comet shard in person, you will just pick it up.The Pokemon you gave him will be lying on the ground, there will be a thank you letter and it will basically sayahemhe died and he ask you to take the Pokemon back and take the comet shard.
