Are Wally and Wallace the same person?

I haven’t played Any hoenn game yet,and since I’m getting OrAs soon,I’m wondering if Wally and Wallace could be the same person.It seems from some gameplay from OrAs I’ve seen,wally leaves somewhere,and Wallace shows up somewhere EX:End of Delta Episode.are Wally and Wallace the same person,And If not,where’s the proof,thanks!

Wallace is the 8th gym leader you challenge, who is the water-type gym leader in Sootopolis City.

Wally is also your age, whilst Wallace is an adult.

Wallace is this guy:He is the leader of the Sootopolis City gym, and is a water-type master.
