Are fire types more powerful than grass and water type Pokemon?
Jan. 3, 2013In Black I had an Emboar and burned through the gyms with ease. In White 2 I have a Samurott and it’s not so easy. Are fire types the strongest?

No, not nessesarily. Some starters have higher stats than others. In Ruby, Saphire, and Emerald, Swampert is strongest.It is true, however, that the Fire types tend to be a little more power based, while Grass types are more for inflicting status, and Water types go for all-around coverage.
No, what is going on is that the gyms in the Gen. 5 games are much more easily taken down by Fire types due to their typing. No type is “stronger” than the other, it just depends on the type matchups between you and the person you are battling.
