Any suggestions for how to activate Incineroar's Blaze ability without risking too much vulnerability?

I’m thinking of giving it lots of HP EVs, a Life Orb as a held item, and the moves Flare Blitz (for the recoil damage and STAB attack with Life Orb boost) and Bulk Up (to raise defense and reduce damage taken from opponents and to raise attack). Any suggestions or alternatives to this would be nice.

Hmmm, maybe let it hold Leftovers and have it know Substitute? Hm, no. I’m not 100% sure. Sorry.

well, you could have a recovery move like Recover on it, or some Leftovers, when it’s HP is down. I’m not sure it can learn Recover though. but if it cant, then put Substitute on it. and although the life orb will give it a major ATTACK boost, there’s too much risk with it’s recoil. now you could try Substitute, Recover (if it can) Flare Blitz, Darkest Lariat and have a life orb, but then there is still the recoil problem.
