Aguav/Figy/Iapapa/Mago/Wiki Berry VS Sitrus Berry?

Feb. 12, 2016

If held by a Pokémon, it restores the user’s HP in a pinch, but it will cause confusion if the user hates the taste.

A Berry to be consumed by Pokémon. If a Pokémon holds one, it can restore its own HP by asmall amountduring battle.

Why on earth is the Sitrus Berry so much more popular?

Does it actually heal the same/more HP than the others? Are people just being lazy? What’s going on?

The Aguave/Wiki/Iapapa/etc. Berries each restore1/8 (12.5%)of the holder’s HP.

Sitrus Berries restore1/4 (25%)of the holder’s HP.

Sitrus Berries heal more than twice as much HP as the others. Hence why it’s used more.

As of Sun/Moon, the aforementioned Berries heal 50% of the holder’s HP.

Aguav/Figy/Iapapa/Mago/Wiki Berries now heal 50% in Generation VII, but only activate if the Pokemon’s HP is 25% or less. Confusion does not occur if the berry consumed is agreeable to the Pokemon’s nature.
